    This historical pub has had a rebirth after having undergone an extensive renovation. Always a Charleston favorite, this tavern has been satisfying the locals for decades. The establishment has changed hands several times over the years but has always stood true to its original goal: serve great food and spirits. One of the highlights is the impressive outdoor patio dining. It is tucked behind the pub in a courtyard bordered by antique brick walls and archways. There is comfortable seating for large and small groups. Inside, the brick theme is carried out along with an antique tin ceiling. Located in the heart of Charleston, this newbie to King Street uses only fresh fruits, vegetables, and fish, all from sustainable sources that are local. They strive to buy organic ingredients when possible. The fare they serve is excellent, featuring acai bowls, poke bowls, wraps, cold pressed juices made in house, and smoothies. They also serve a handful of different toasted bagels with fresh, yummy toppings. Located in an old brick building, the interior is modern and industrial. The chalkboard menu adds some warmth to the place along with the occasional chairs located at the front. It is bright and cheery with plenty of natural light. In its short tenure, it has already become a local hotspot, especially during the lunch hours. This is one of those health food eateries where the food really is healthy and tasty.     The Tiki Taco – A Neighborhood Fave

    Open for about 2 ½ years in Summerville, the Tiki Taco recently opened a new location in North Charleston and it has already become a favorite authentic Mexican taco joint. You can order take out or eat in. There is plenty of parking and seating, both indoors and outdoors on the covered patio. The tacos are made small but full of filling, easier to handle. The flavors are fantastic and the dishes have just the right amount of spice. The restaurant décor is that of a Tiki hut with a beach mural painted on one wall. They have a large menu offering many of the traditional favorites plus a few signature dishes like the sopas and tortas. The prices are right and the service is great. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. If you like authentic Mexican flavors, then stop by Tiki Taco, it will soon become your favorites.

All food is kept in a room completely separate from the cats so the food is safe and approved by the Health Department.
