Rooftop at Vendue
Offering gorgeous views of the Charleston Harbor, Waterfront Park, and The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, the Rooftop is nestled in the French Quarter of Charleston and sits atop a historic hotel. With a stylish ambiance and imaginative craft cocktails as well as a full lunch and dinner menu with tempting selections, this bar is definitely worth a visit. The hotel also has much to offer in its own right. Housed in renovated warehouses dating back to the 1800s, no two rooms are alike and each is decorated with different period pieces. Additionally, more than 300 pieces of original art are on display, creating a unique hotel dedicated to the arts. Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to midnight.
Elevé
Artfully styled with natural wood, glittering chandeliers and bright pops of color, the Elevé restaurant is certainly something to experience, but venture outdoors on the rooftop for a more casual extension of the indoor environment. Serving herb-infused cocktails and refreshing craft beer as well as other drinks, the intimate setting of this rooftop bar has comfortable seating, a fireplace and beautiful views. Open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. and on weekends 7 a.m. – midnight.
Cocktail Club
The Cocktail Club is an institution in the Holy City. Savor house-made infusions, rare liquors, and curated cocktails incorporating modern ingredients. Guests can also take in the beauty of the historic 1881 building while sipping on a boozy drink. Be sure to head up to the club’s rooftop terrace for some Instagram-worthy eye candy. Open Monday through Sunday 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Citrus Club
The crown jewel atop the Dewberry, this gem has the highest public viewpoint in the city. Take in tropical cocktails and fresh, light fare in a lounge setting. You better act fast, however, as patrons must make a reservation in advance. Open Wednesday through Sunday 2-10 p.m.
Revelry Brewing Company
This bar and brewery is a destination for affordable tasty small-batch brews. They have gained a reputation for their happy hours and free social events. They offer an invitation: Revel in the fun at Revelry. Open Monday through Thursday 4-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 10 p.m.
